TV shows formatted in TiVo format can not be played on the Samsung Galaxy S3. In order to enable Samsung Galaxy S3 to play them, you'll need to transcode TiVo Videos to Samsung Galaxy S3 H.264 or MPEG-4 first. Video Converter is highly reommended here casue it packs perfect support for TiVo recordings as well as almost all HD videos in .avi, .wmv or .vob, mkv etc.. Step 1. Asumming you have downloaded the excellent TiVo Converter for Samsung Galaxy S3 to your PC, the first step is to Click on the "Option" button, switch to TiVo tab, and enter your Media Access Key. Click "OK" to confirm.
Step 2. Drag and drop transferred TV shows into it.
Step 3. Choose output profile for Samsung Galaxy S3. Click on the "Samsung" bar to and select "Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100)(*.mp4)" which is a format specially designed for Galaxy S2 but also works for the S3.
PS: The supported resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S3 goes up to 1080p, though video playback and most apps never break out of 720p. For watching videos on the Android-based phone, 720p with 1500~2000kbps is just all right. I find that bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.
