I've used Ping and Taylor Made drivers all my life. I've played the Cheap golf clubs -R11 for most of the Summer and just lucked my way into a new R11 TP Driver. Both have the Fuji Blur shaft in them, with the TP obviously being a little bit better of a shaft and while both are 'Stiff'. I think the TP is actually more of an extra-stiff shaft.
As far as performance, the TP has little different from the regular R11 Driver for sale. The only discernable difference I can tell is that the shaft has less flex and overall makes the club less forgiving than the regular model. Whereas I can hit the regular R11 pretty consistent down the fairway, I'm slicing the TP version a bit more than normal for me. I'm very pleased with the shaft: lower ball flight, low spin. When I am swinging well, this driver is the best club in the bag, long and straight.
The best thing about the Taylormade R11 TP Driver is that I can take the shaft out of my old driver (which I tried several to fit my swing) and install it in the new one in a matter of minutes. This club is lite as a feather and gives you instant feed back from an off center strike. Off-center hits are noticeably shorter and feel clanky. When you catch it on the sweet spot, it does really go and the club certainly feels good when you do this. But, it is not noticably longer than a pure drive off my old club.
More recently, I've played the Ping G5, 10, and 15s, the TaylorMade R9 TP Irons, and the TM Superfast. I'm a 12 handicap. I was regularly being outdriven by everyone in my group using those clubs. I would average 220, with a really great shot going 250. Then I got the TM R11 TP. I've hit multiple drives over 280. The power and consistency the TaylorMade R11 TP Driver brings will improve your game and the sleek white finish will make you the center of attention on the course and in the clubhouse. The "TP" version has a lower center of gravity and is for the more experienced player.
Distance is about the same as other drivers but this is down the middle for me most of the time. I really enjoy the white head for allignment and love the fact you can change out shafts. 300 yard drives become a reality with cheap golf clubs for sale and it does a fine job directionally speaking too. It has new technology, like an adjustable sole that can adjust the face angle of the club, as well as the ability to adjust the launch angle, making it a truly adjustable driver.
