No matter if you are running iOS 6,7 or 8, you can recover your photos as long as you have an iTunes backup created prior to deleting or losing your photos. Every time you sync your iPhone or iPad with iTunes, a backup is automatically created, unless you have disabled this default option.

These are some steps that you have to follow for recovering the deleted files on iPhone 5 iOS 6-
1. You should first try to download iPhone backup extractor if you know that you have iTunes backup.
2. After that complete the installation process of software applications.
3. This software application finds out the backup with an ease.
4. If multiple backups are found, then you should select backup to recover the data.
5. In case, the backup finds to be unencrypted, then iPhone backup extractor shows the data to be recovered from iTunes backup.

You, unfortunately, encountered this problem and lost some important files on your iPhone. Usually, if you created an iPhone backup with iTunes or iCloud, you can easily restore all data and settings from backup to your iPhone to retrieve some deleted files. The deleted files are still stored on your iPhone's internal memory, but they are in the area that is invisible to users. And the files just stay in the area temporally and can be overwritten by new data any minute. Hope solutions are useful for you as follow.
Solution1: You can also find the deleted files on iPhone from old iCloud/iTunes backup.
Solution2: You should stop using your iPhone and use a suitable iOS file recovery to retrieve the lost files as soon as possible.
