XAVC, the newest HD recording format announced by Sony, has gained much attention since it is released, XAVC uses level 5.2 of H.264/MPEG-4 AVC which is the highest level supported by that video standard. XAVC can support 4K resolution (4096 × 2160 and 3840 × 2160) at up to 60 frames per second (fps). XAVC supports color depths of 8-bits, 10-bits, and 12-bits.[1][2] Chroma subsampling can be 4:2:0, 4:2:2, or 4:4:4. The Material Exchange Format (MXF) can be used for the digital container format.XAVC allows for a wide range of content production including intra frame recording and long group of pictures (GOP) recording. XAVC is produced by two CineAlta cameras like Sony PMW-F55 and Sony PMW-F5, which are not the preferred formats by Final Cut Pro X. Even you will have problem for transferring and logging these XAVC videos.
Final Cut Pro X is new released with powerful new features like expanded ProRes codecs, improved speed/XML interchange/media management, etc and some time-saving improvements like automatic transfer, easy export, and so on. However, this new released FCP X can not support MXF video format! Final Cut Pro X, the latest version of video-editing software geared for professionals from a company increasingly focused on mainstream consumers. Final Cut Pro X is a follow-up to Final Cut Pro X, software Apple released in 2009 as part of Final Cut Studio. Like Apple’s newly released of Mac OS X Mountain Lion/Lion, Final Cut Pro X was only be available to customers through the Mac App Store. However, this new released FCP X does not support well with XAVC Videos.

How to Import Blu-ray to Premiere Pro CC7/CS6/CS6/CS5/CS4/CS3?
One year ago, I made my first short movie in after effect and converted it directly to blu-ray. But the problem now is that I want to put a part of the movie into my showreel, but can't find the After Effects file anymore. I post a thread on a forum trying to fig out if I can import the blu-ray into premiere (CS4) or is there any other way with CS4 to rip the blu-ray into a full HD file?.
Some guy's words give me a hint. "Copy BD to HDD and go into the STREAM directory there you will find your movie, it's a m2ts file. You can import this into Premiere." Following this, it works perfect
However, another problem happened when I try to import a Blu-ray disc (Avatar) to Premiere Pro CS4, I got a File Import Failure window that says "Unsupported format or damaged file."
Searching further and widely; Adobe.com says M2TS files are supported for import into CS4. The problem is that I am trying to pull files from a store-bought Blu-ray disc into Premiere which has some kind of copy protection. Yes, that is the definite cause of the problem. Premiere can't support Blu-ray disc which has protection at all. So, the optional choice is that I need to decrypt the protection of Blu-ray disc first and then import to Premiere.
