The iPhone is a smartphone equipped with Internet and multimedia. It preinstalled a variety of connectivity options, such as cellular data, WiFi and Bluetooth. WiFi and Bluetooth are used for wirelessly connecting iPhone to other devices equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth. Before iPhone can connect other device via Bluetooth, the Bluetooth function must be turned on and the connection between the two devices must be authorized.
In this article, we will show how to turn on the Bluetooth on iPhone.
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances (using short-wavelength radio transmissions in the ISM band from 2400–2480 MHz) from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs) with high levels of security. Created by telecom vendor Ericsson in 1994, it was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS-232 data cables. Step 1.Tap the "Settings" icon on the iPhone home screen. Then select “General.”
Step 2.Tap “Bluetooth” and slide the "Bluetooth" switch to "ON". The iPhone begins looking for the nearby Bluetooth devices automatically.
Step 3.Turn on the Bluetooth-enabled device and make sure it is in discoverable mode.
(If you wouldn’t like to use Bluetooth, you can turn it off as well.)
Step 4.Tap the name of the device and select “Pair” when it's detected by the iPhone and displayed on the screen. Then tap the “Connect” button on your iPhone to finish the pairing process.
If the device requires you to enter a four-digit password to complete the connection, enter the number when prompted by the iPhone. 0000 is a common default password.
Bluetooth is a wireless technology that has become very popular among heavy mobile and computer users. Apple iPhone comes with integrated Bluetooth, which means you can conveniently and easily use a wireless headset with your phone, once you set it up.
