It has been nearly a year since Apple said it was working with AT&T to provide iPhone tethering (ie a way to use a mobile handset as a modem). Moreover, the mothership said on Tuesday that tethering functionality is built into iPhone 3.0 and the feature hadn?t been enabled because the company?s wireless carrier partners still aren?t ready to roll.
