If you have camcorder like Sony HDR-SR10E, which includes 40GB large hard disk drive, you may find it easy for shooting videos for more than 10 hours, which is enough for a whole day recording. The Sony HDR-SR10E also enables video recording to memory stick with face detection for full HD 1920x1080.
To transfer Sony HDR-SR10E MTS videos to Mac:
After connecting Sony HDR-SR10E to Apple computer, you can generally use iMovie to pull holiday videos to iMac/MacBook Pro. However, if you record videos in HD and SD, you may find iMovie does not work fine for the HD MTS videos. You can copy the .mts files to Apple hard drive.
To edit Sony HDR-SR10 MTS videos on Final Cut Pro:
Sometimes you can use the Log and Transfer method to import Sony HDR-SR10 .mts files for editing on Final Cut Pro (FCP). However, you may also face the problem that FCP does not recognize the .mts videos. Step 3. Convert Sony HDR-SR10E .mts to HD .mov.
Click the convert button under the preview window, the Mac Sony HDR-SR10E Converter starts converting .mts to .mov for FCP.
After the conversion, you will get HD videos, and then you can easily import Sony HDR-SR10E videos to Final Cut Pro without any problem.
