If you are helping a non-profit in publicity by recording video footage of the events, promoting their service, if you are shooting wedding video footage for the reception of your families or friends, do you want to present the videos as DVD, so that they can easily enjoy the videos? Sony HDR-SR11 could be one of the AVCHD camcorders that you use for HD video recording.
The DVD with your videos could be uploaded to website, or share with relatives on projector. Here I would like to introduce you the way to convert Sony HDR-SR11 MTS videos to DVD for burning with Windows DVD Maker and Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
Part I. Convert Sony HDR-SR11 to WMV
As Windows DVD Maker does not support importing the .mts files from Sony Handycam HDR-SR11, we shall convert the MTS videos to WMV for Windows DVD Maker.
Step 1. Load Sony HDR-SR11 videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
Run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as the Sony HDR-SR11 MTS converter, and click the "Add" button to load .mts videos for conversion.
Step 2. Choose WMV output format.
Click the "Format" option and choose Common Video > WMV3 (WMV9)(*.wmv) or the next profile WMV2 (WMV8)(*wmv) for conversion.
Step 3. Convert Sony HDR-SR11 MTS to WMV.
Click the convert button below the preview window, and the converter starts transcoding MTS to WMV for Windows DVD Maker right away.
Part II. Burn Sony video to DVD
Insert a blank DVD disc to your DVD-RW burner, and follow the steps below
Step 1. Load videos to Windows DVD Maker.
Run Windows DVD Maker, and click "Add items" to load the output WMV videos from Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
Step 2. Choose DVD menu style.
Click the "Next" button on the bottom-right corner, and then you can choose the preferred menu styles on Windows DVD Maker.
Step 3. Burn Sony videos to DVD.
Click the "Burn" button and Windows DVD Maker shall start burning videos to DVD.
Tips:
1. Windows DVD Maker is only available in premium editions (Home Premium and Ultimate) of Windows Vista, and Windows 7 Home Premium. You can also use ImgBurn for Windows XP in part II for burning Sony MTS to DVD.
2. Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter also works for MTS videos from AVCHD camcorders like Sony HDR-XR500, HDR-CX110, HDR-SR12E, Canon Vixia HF S200, and Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7.
