How to edit MOD, TOD, and MTS files in Mac Avid Xpress Pro?

Now of course you can do it, but your parents have the right to bring back the iPad, because you're such amounts of money may not spend without authorization / should.? convert avi to mp4 for mac BUT ANY chance will It damage your phone in anyway??!? don't have enough money to replace my IPhone 4!
