The carpet is first conditioned with an alkaline agent then lightly agitated with a cleaning brush.The cleaning tool is passed over the carpet many times in order to thoroughly rinse the alkaline agent with the use of an acetic solution. The carpet is then sufficiently dried to prevent saturation.
