I have an avi file I wish to burn to DVD as a movie.
I need to edit my .avi file because it is too dark.
I do this with VirtualDubMod and then use Nero to burn the result.
So why am I asking the question?
Because I’m told this is NOT a good way.
But I can’t make the 'good way' work.
I am told my way converts from avi, then edits, then converts back to avi (all that in vdub) and then converts to mpg (in nero).
Too many conversions. Too much loss of quality.
Convert to mpeg they said. Edit the mpeg. Then burn that. Just one conversion.
I can see the sense of that.
So I convert to mpeg using TPMGEnc and I select DVD for output and I get TWO files. A .wav for sound and an m2v for video.
The editor I was planning to use was Movica and it can’t see the m2v.
I can’t find an editor that can see the m2v.
how to edit avi iOrgsoft AVI Video Editor allows you to join and split avi files, extract frames and do whatever you want... You can capture video by number of ways, including one-frame-per-minute (web camera) option, workaround annoying 2 Gb file size limit, send your videos to printer, heavy compress it and post to your webpage. You can change framerate, duration, frame size, color depth of your videos and other properties, even without recompression and without loss of video quality. AVIedit allows you to convert avi clips to bmp and bmp to avi, animated GIFs etc.
Step by step to edit AVI files with avi editor
Step 1: Add AVI files
Free download avi video editor to pop up the following main interface:
Step 2: edit avi video
edit avi fileswith video clip, video crop and video effect
Step 3: Add transition to video
On the bottom of the panel, there is timeline with five layers: Text, Video A, Transitions, Video B and Audio for you to add image, audio, text as transitions between videos.
Add Transition to Video avi editing
AVI files combine audios and videos together and make them to be synchronous. Although movies made in AVI lose their qualities in image and sound performance, they take less storing space and are convenient to transmit on line. You can fix them by AVI editor. In a word, the format is broadly applied everywhere, especially in media discs.
