To be honest it's hard to pick up the problems on thse photos. I can see that the leather looks very soft and wrinkled, mine looks like that too and it's only 5 months old and hardly used. The sides of mine also pull out in the way displayed and it has never been overfilled. Unless the photo is disguising patches of wear or abuse I think it looks ok. These bags tend to become very soft and slouchy. Maybe it is just not what you expected from viewing pictures of stuffed pristine ones on the website. The colour is lovely too, I can't advise on the current availability of it elsewhere. I think the grape colour is lovely and if I saw you carrying that on the street I would certainly be throwing admiring glances. Again, as others have said, that was a great price for the mulberry alexa bag... I too would have snapped it up for that. I own an Alexa which I bought from brand new last June. It is hardly used but my leather is wrinkled and looks old. It's buffalo leather which is very soft and i think It improves with age. You need to keep that bag and love it!
