"I wish to convert M2TS / AVCHD files to an alternative format to send to people without the HDD software that comes with my Panasonic HDC-SD1. How can I make it?"
Nowadays, as HDV grows more popular, more and more people go for digital camcorders such as JVC GZ-X900, Panasonic HDC-TM350, SDR-SW21, Canon FS200, Sony HDR-XR100 etc. With these camcorders, we can store many wonderful and memorable scenes. Sony, as the leader of the field of Digital image and video, launched 1080i High Definition HDD & DVD camcorders based the new AVCHD format, which is used for recording and playback of high definition video, captures video onto 8cm DVDs, the video is using MPEG4 AVC/H.264 compression system, and audio is recorded in Dolby Digital.
AVCHD files are a type of high-definition video created with certain types of digital camcorders. Although they are more widely known as AVCHD videos, these files are actually stored with the "M2TS(MTS)" file extension. Many video editing program and portable players are not able to recognize M2TS files, so if you want to edit an AVCHD file on windows movie maker or play AVCHD files on iPad, iPhone 4, iPod, PSP, Zune, Blackberry, Creative Zen, etc, you may need to convert the AVCHD file type first by using a video conversion software. Advanced Function: How to crop/ trim/ effect AVCHD video files to improve the output Video quality(Optional)
After loading AVCHD video files, please click "Edit" button to access to the Video Edit panel.
Crop: adjust video size, Cut off the black edge of your AVCHD video to let you enjoy your movie in full screen by click the 'Crop' button.
Trim: Clip video segment, trim any segment of your AVCHD Video clips to convert.
Video Effect: Switch to "Effect" tab and set the video effects as you want: brightness, contrast, saturation and Deinterlacing, etc. You can also choose the effect such as Emboss, Gray, negative, old film, or just no effect, which depending on your choice. All the progress you can preview clearly.
Design watermark: If you want to add some personal information either in text or image form as watermark to decorate your AVCHD video, you can realize it by click "Watermark".
