Deinterlace and Convert HD Video MTS/M2TS to SD MP4
In this tutorial I will show you how to convert High Definition videos such as MTS and M2TS files to Stand Definition MP4 format. The program we will use is Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter Mac version (for Windows version, please click here). The reason I choose this converter rather than others is that the program has a function to "deinterlace" your MTS/M2TS files and it can also works as a great "MTS/M2TS joiner".
Now let's take a look at how to convert HD MTS/M2TS to SD MP4 format.
Step1. Download, launch MTS/M2TS Converter and add MTS/M2TS files to the program
You can simply drag and drop your AVCHD files to the program or click "Add" button to load your videos. Batch conversion is supported and as I mentioned earlier the program is terrific for large files, so don't worry about your large recordings from your camcorder. Simply drag and drop them to the converter. This is how the program looks like.
Step2. "Deinterlace" MTS/M2TS files (optional)
Editing functions are available in Aunsoft MTS Converter by clicking "Editor" button in the menu bar for you to trim, crop, add text/image/video watermarks and "deinterlace" your AVCHD MTS/M2TS files. You can tick the checkbox of "Apply to all" to apply your present settings to all your AVCHD files.
Step3. Choose SD MP4 output format
In this step, we simply choose MP4 format from "Common Video" section in "Format" drop-down menu. More than that, the MTS/M2TS Converter provides with many other options for your different devices or purposes, such as HD Video, iPod, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, PSP, Zune, Audio output, Flash Video, etc.
Step4. "Join MTS files" (optional) and convert
