I was really excited when I heard Apple iPhone would be released on June 11th. As a big fan of Apple, I like every product from this company. Now I already have iMac, iPod, Apple TV, and I am certainly going to get an iPhone in June. Apart from the regular phone functions of iPhone, the first thing I want to do with it is to watch my DVD movies on it. So I did a search on Google and found quite a few conversion tools that can convert DVD movies to iPhone, although the release of iPhone is still two months away.
I downloaded all the programs I found and spent a whole day trying them.
The functions I want the most from a DVD to iPhone conversion tool are:
1. Video Quality: The video quality is most important thing to me with no doubt.
2. Audio Quality: Besides watching movies, I'll also listen to music and watch MTV with iPhone, so audio quality is my second concern.
3. Conversion Speed: The faster the better, of course with good video and audio quality guaranteed.
4. Cropping Movie: Cut off the black edges on my DVD movies.
5. Trimming Movie: Trim and rip a clip from a DVD but not the entire movie.
6. Rip DVD folders: The function of ripping the DVD folder VIDEO_TS that I copied to the computer.
7. Easy to use: I hate spending hours figuring out how to use a program that is supposed to be very easy to use.
Based on the above factors, I've selected 4 DVD to iPhone converters for your reference. Wondershare DVD to iPhone Ripper,Aimersoft DVD to iPhone Converter, Lenogo DVD to iPhone Converter and Kikee DVD to iPhone Converter.
Wondershare DVD to iPhone Converter
The interface of this program is very pretty. They have certainly done a lot of work on it. I think it has the best user interface among the four programs. The whole process is also quite easy. It also offers customizable options on video cropping and movie trimming. What impresses me most is that this software can also rip DVD movies for iPod and AppleTV. This converter is almost everything I am looking for. However, it has a file transportation function that only transfers files to iPod. The program is called DVD to iPhone ripper and it doesn't transfer files to iPhone as it does to iPod!! This is something that still remains to be improved. But overall, this is by far the best converter I have found.

Kikee DVD to iPhone Converter
This software is also very easy to use. Just insert your DVD to your DVD-rom or import the DVD folder, make a few settings such as selecting subtitle and setting audio track, then just click the ‘convert' button to start conversion.
Cropping Movie: No. Trimming Movie: No. Rip DVD folders: Yes.
Easy to use: 5Star Interface: 3Star

Aimersoft DVD to iPhone Converter
The most noticeable feature of Aimersoft DVD to iPhone Converter is its great stability. Even the disk is a little scratched, it can convert it to video with no problem. The video quality should be counted as one of the best, I was hesitated to choose the Aimersoft or the Wondershare. One is great stability with stunning video quality, one is three-in-one converter, Maybe I will make a choice when iPhone comes out.

Lenogo DVD to iPhone Converter
This easy-to-use software can complete the work in two steps, import and convert. You don't have to make any settings because the program has done the default settings for your choice. If you just want to convert a part of a DVD movie, Lenogo DVD to iPhone Converter supports partial conversion, you can select a clip by setting the start and end time, or just select the chapters and titles you want to convert. This is definitely the easiest to use one, but it is a bit too simple and doesn't have certain functions that I think are quite useful, such as video cropping and movie trimming. One more thing I must mention is that this program can combine two DVD movies and rip them into one MP4 file.

There are also some other tools, such as Accelerate DVD to iPhone Converter, and they are quite similar to lenogo. So I'll just save my words.
Summary
a) If you focus on the conversion speed and the cost, Wondershare DVD to iPhone Ripper is the best choice. It can also convert DVD movies for iPod and Apple TV and this three-in-one function could save me about a hundred bucks.
b) If video and audio quality is your first concern, I would recommend Wondershare DVD to iPhone Ripper and Aimersoft DVD to iPhone Converter.
c) If you just want the easiest-to-use program, Kikee DVD to iPhone Converter is a very good choice.
d) If you want to rip two DVD movies into one file, the only choice is Lenogo DVD to iPhone Converter.
The above is my experience with iPhone converters so far. And I hope it can help iPhone users like me to select the right conversion tools. Open to discussion and more recommendations.

handbrake is good, but it will make you confused if you are not experted at software. Too much options make user far away from it.
