I've played a few rounds with these Ping i20 Irons, and I must say that they live up to my expectations. There's a great compromise between playability and forgiveness.

The Ping i20 irons
are ideal for a player with a single digit handicap, however, a mid handicap player can also get away with them because of their forgiveness. The distance of these irons was pretty routine, in my opinion – nothing spectacular. But a contributing factor here may be that Ping has pretty standard lie angle, length and lofts on their irons.

The i20's offered a consistent and accurate flight, with a piercing trajectory. If precision and accuracy are important in your irons this is a great match. If you’re looking to gain yardage, cheap golf clubs there may be a better set for you. But perhaps the old saying of which is better, a 200 yard down the middle every time or a 300 yard drive down the middle half the time, should help some of you in your decision making.

The chassis of the i20 irons is similar to the i15 irons apart from the width of the sole near the tow which is a little narrower. The big difference comes in the revised custom tuning port in the back of the head, which now slots in behind the face and works with the stabilising bars to increase the forgiveness from the same sized head. ping g20 drivers for sale Their progressive offset and smaller head size is still there but is less noticeable and the short irons look much playable then previously, as they used to get too compact for our liking.

All round I think Ping have produced a great iron with the i20 model and it should appeal to all golfers up to around 15 handicap. ping g20 pink drivers As a senior golfer who's handicap has just gone up to double digits, I am pinning my hopes on these irons getting me back down.

The new clubs are listed as having the same swing weight but in my opinion the i20s feel much lighter. They do not produce the feel of a forged Mizuno iron but it is not much short of this and although fairly forgiving, you know when contact is poor.
