Often I was asked by my friend about such question:“I have some qcp files that I've saved from my phone and moved to my computer via a memory stick. Is there a way to have them converted into something I can play on media player or iTunes?”
Well, people may want to convert QCP files to other audio formats due to different reasons. Someone said he recorded his friend singing with his cellphone, and he would like them to be .wav or .mp3 so he can listen to them in media player or mp3 player, while others just recorded some important conversations and want to play them on computer. We know that the QCP file format is used by many cellular telephone manufacturers for providing voice ring tones. However, conventional media players like Windows Media Player cannot handle this audio format unless the extension is changed to WAV. A few sources claim you can just rename the file from filename.qcp to filename.wav and it will work; others claim it will not. I suppose it's worth a try.
There is another way that helps you out. You can use a piece of audio converter software to convert the QCP file to a standard WAV file understandable by Windows Media Player. QCP files can be converted to .wav which is a standard computer codec that is compatible with Windows Media player. Many converters are very easy to use; simply select the file you wish to convert, and pick the format you wish to convert to. With one click, conversion is accomplished through the program.
