You can go to Google and download a powerful AVCHD to Premiere Pro Converter to help you convert Sony AVCHD to MPEG-2 best compatible video format for Premiere Pro. Which can fastly and easily transcode Sony NEX-VG10 AVCHD MTS/M2TS to MPEG-2 for editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3/CS/4/CS4/CS5.5/CS6 with best quality.

STEP 1: Launch the MTS/M2TS Converter and load the MTS/M2TS files to it.
Tip: If you wanna join multiple MTS/M2TS files into one file, please tick the "Merge into one" box.

STEP 2: Click on Format, and from the dropdown menu, select Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas > MPEG-2 (*.mpg) as output for Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. You can set the output folder as you need.

STEP 3: Click the “Settings” icon and you’d better set the video size as 1920*1080, video frame rate as 24fps or 23.976fps to keep the best quality for editing Sony NEX-VG10 MTS in Premiere Pro CS3.
