Just record some video clips with Canon XF100, the images are vivid but one problem is, I cannot import the files into Final Cut pro to edit, is there a workable solution? Thanks.

Canons XF100 HD Professional Video camera is definitely an amazingly compact, fully featured camcorder that imports nearly all of the features and functionality from the 3-clip XF300 right into a more compact, single sensor form factor. A recently developed Genuine Canon 10 x HD video lens resolves images onto a local 1920 x 1080 CMOS sensor, that are taken in industry-standard MXF file wrappers using the selection of bit rate (as much as 50Mbps), resolution, and frame rate.

As such HD videos are in MXF format that is not supported by Apple editing software including FCP, FCE, iMovie etc, to edit Canon XF100 MXF in FCP you need to convert the MXF to Apple ProRes 422 MOV, which is natively supported by the software listed above first, with Canon MXF Converter for Mac, you can easily solve these problems below is how.

1.Load MXF files
After install and launch the Canon XF100 MXF to Apple ProRes 422 Converter Mac, hit the Add Files button to import MXF file. You can drag several files to the program directly

2.Choose output format
Apple ProRes MOV for Final Cut Pro, FCE and iMovie is optimized by the Canon XF100 MXF Converter Mac, you just need to choose the target application as output format, for example, Final Cut Pro->Apple ProRes 422(*.mov).

3.Transcode Canon XF100 MXF to FCP
At last, hit the Convert button to transcode Canon XF100 MXF to FCP. When the conversion is done, you can transfer Canon XF100 MXF footage to FCP to edit then.
