What is MPEG and MPG
MPEG, Moving Picture Experts Group, specializes in setting standards for audio and video compression and transmission. MPEG has many kinds of compression formats. There are three common kinds: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4. Some MPEG files is with .MPG extension and some with .MPEG extension. MPEG-1 video clip is used on VCD(VideoCD discs) and MPEG-2 used on Super VideoCD(SVCD), DVD Video and Blu-ray.
