I've always appreciated Titleist's clubs, and found their drivers largely under-appreciated, so I was excited to give the Titleist 910 D3 Driver a try. Here I'm happy to share my thoughts on Titleist's first customer-adjustable driver. I dare to say, it is a great Christmas present.

Titleist released two variations of the 910; a larger 910D2 which features a 460cc head and a 910D3, which is slightly smaller at 445cc. It also has a slightly deeper face to provide additional control of trajectory and shot shaping.

The result of this face design is a sweet spot in the Titleist 910 D2 Driver that is 15% larger (910D3 is 10% larger) than that of the 909 series drivers. This means you're going to get more consistent, more explosive distances, even on off-center contact. Mizuno MX 300 Irons By introducing their unique 'fast face insert design', Titleist are able to increase the effective hitting area on the driver face by up to 15%.

This weight distribution lowers the center of gravity and moves it deeper back in the clubhead, golf clubs au which helps to improve stability by stopping the clubhead from twisting as much at the moment of contact, especially on those off center hits, to give golfers more accuracy and control off of the tee.

This driver performed incredibly well, particularly on shots caught high on the face. Balls struck high would carry a long ways and didn't see enough spin loss to "float and fall." Mizuno JPX 800 Driver Shots struck low had a slight propensity to balloon and lacked a little more ball speed than I'd like, but I believe the CG is a little higher in the 910D3 than the D2, and this would account for that - the sweet spot's a little higher.

In conclusion, the 910D3 may not be the perfect driver for the mid- to low-handicapper, but in most cases making it so simply requires an adjustment of the SureFit Tour hosel.
