I am an average golfer looking for a solid and affordable set of best price golf clubs. The move to the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons was a pretty radical one for me. They are proved to be fantastic. I hit them much straighter and the distance is on a control pattern. Instead of being a forged iron, it’s designed to be a very forgiving investment cast maximum perimeter weighted iron, built for distance.

Ive been hitting buy Mizuno MP-53 Irons for some time. They were great starter clubs but I was ready to move on. I was open to any brand, so I asked friends for recommendations based on their personla club choices. The Burner 2.0 irons were the clear winner for me. The 2.0s are balanced, produce nice shots even on offcenter hits, and you don't have to swing hard to get good distance out of them.

I looked at the Callaway RAZR X Irons UK, Wilson, Titleist. But for me, nothing compared to the Burner 2.0. These irons are good choice to anyone looking for a forgiven, cavity back club but the look and feel of a more conventional blade. I hit the straight with good consistency, even with off center hits. Distance was about the same for me, but these are 2 degrees up compared to my standard lie X-16s, so they would probably be longer.

I actually like TaylorMade golf clubs very much. TaylorMade with this set manufactured greater distance by decreasing the loft of each iron throughout the set and by adding length and reducing weight to each of the shafts. A multi-functional sole lowers the center of gravity and reduces turf-drag to make the cheapest burner 2.0 irons easy to launch shots high and long, while the inverted cone in each clubface is strategically sized and shaped center of gravity location in each head is precision-placed to optimize long-, middle- and short-iron flight; high-coefficient of restitution faces promote fast ball speed for long distance in the long-irons.

They are very forgiving on mis-hits and when you connect, these clubs really perform. They are a "strong" set-up so make sure you dial in your yardage. They have trimmed the fat from the clubs for a sleeker look and feel. They are very forgiving and give you great command over the ball. That being said, these are definitely not for advanced golfers and might not be right for beginners, so make sure you actually go hit these a little in the store before you buy them.
