I was informed by my friend with the problem to log and transfer HD videos from Panasonic HDC-TM700 to FCE4. It could be the recording profile with 28Mbps issue, which Final Cut does not support yet, or the NTSC and PAL issue. I think most of the Panasonic users who bought TM700 might face the same problem and here I would like to share with you my solution to get it through.
The fast solution is to convert Panasonic HDC-TM700 MTS to Final Cut Express supported format like H.264 MOV. Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac is the perfect Panasonic AVCHD converter for Mac Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard. Only a few simple steps are needed to make the Panasonic .mts videos accessible to Final Cut Express 4 (FCE4).
Step 1. Load Panasonic HD videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac.
Connect Panasonic HDC-TM700 to iMac with USB cable, and transfer .mts files from camcorder to Apple hard drive. Run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac as the best Mac MTS to MOV converter, and click the "Add" button to load .mts videos.
