One day I forgot windows 7 password for my computer and I do not have idea to solve this problem, so I searched the Internet to see whether there are some methods to help me solve this problem. And I saw a same problem titled as “I stupidly forgot my Windows password, how can I remove or reset it?” which is similar with my problem. The person said that “I use Vista and I heard there’s no way to reset it unless you want to remove all your data. Are there are free password unlockers or any other way to do it?” when I saw this, I found that I could use the solution of his to help me.
So I read through this web, and found that there is really some free password unlockers to get Windows password reset which is Ophcrack. It is said that this computer software is a free Windows password cracker based on rainbow tables. It is a very efficient implementation of rainbow tables done by the inventors of the method. It comes with a Graphical User Interface and runs on multiple platforms. Most importantly, this program runs Windows, Linux/Unix, Mac OS X, etc. and you will find that Ophcrack LiveCD 3.4.0 is released at May 15, 2012, which is the latest version. It seems that a new interface is also available to help users look for tables on other drives or interact with this password reset software.
And in the end I really used Ophcrack and got my password back. And it tells me what my password is instead of deleting it which makes me very happy. Because I think that if I could not reset windows password with this free software, I will ask some other chargeable tool for help. But now I have saved my money and my energy.
