Pinnacle Studio is a non-linear video editing software application manufactured by Pinnacle Systems, a division of Avid Technology. The consumer-level editing software allows its users to make their own holiday movies. Plus, the Pinnacle Studio is capable of making your 1080i MXF videos to HD movies where more than 2,000 effects and some other content can be used for incorporating special effects.

It is such a great editing software for "common" people, although you will find the incompatibility problem while importing MXF files to Pinnacle Studio. The key reason is that MXF is not a good editing format. if you want to solve the importing problem with MXF files and Pinnacle Studio, the best way is to convert 1080i MXF to AVI for Pinnacle Studio. It is said that AVI seems to be the best one due to the great video quality but small size.

Tip: The 1920*1080 as video size and 30fps for NTSC area while 25fps for PAL area as Frame Rate are the best settings for editing in Pinnacle Studio.
