"I accumulate too much footage from my AVCHD camera (MTS, 1080/60p, 28Mbps), but I will not have time until Christmas for editing my project. Because these clips take too much space and I'm sure that I will only use a small percentage of that footage, I want to get rid of all parts which I will certainly not need.
After sifting through the files I want to keep as little as possible but as much as necessary. For example: I have a clip of 15 minutes, but am sure that I will only need 30 seconds of it (if at all).
Importing the clips into a Final Cut event is no good idea, because then the whole clip would still stay on the hard disk. Hence I need a way to trim the MTS file from 15 minutes to those interesting 30 seconds LOSSLESSLY. I guess this is not possible with Final Cut -- how can I do this? "
mts editor is probable one of the best MTS video editing software available for you to easy edit mts videos with the built-in MTS video editing functions. You can cut MTS videos into smaller pieces, remove unwanted parts, add effect to MTS files or add transitions between MTS video etc.
simple guide to edit mts files with mts video editor
step 1: Load MTS files
after free download MTS Editor. Click Add Videos on the topper left panel to add files to add. As batch process mode is supported. You can load as much file as you want.
note: You can delete any video files by clicking "X" on the top right of the video you want to delete.
step 2: editing mts video
there are four ways for you to edit .mts with MTS Editor: Video Clip, Video Crop, Video Effect, Video Transition
step 3: Output parameter settings
when the editings above have been finished, click Save and publish to set output parameters such as output formats, output path, video and audio parameters before save the video.
