Avid Media Composer is the standard editing system used by professionals in the film and television industries and with its many capabilities available at a low price, it’s well within the range of serious non-professionals too. It is a pity that Avid doesn't do 1080p 60/50 according our multi-testing. 1080 60p (50p for PAL) AVCHD is not a sstandard video format for editing, so many users can't import or transfer 1080 50p/60p AVCHD to Avid MC for editing. Below are two questions from 60p/50p users.
Q1: I have recently bought a Panasonic HD camcorder TM900 and got some 1080/50p AVCHD files. When I try to import clips into My Avid MC 5.3, I get a message; "this mpeg is not supported." I was told that Avid solved in problem of importing .mts files in version 5. Does anyone has a solution?
Q2: I wanted to edit the 1080 60p recordings from Sony Nex 7 in Avid MC 5. But I couldn’t successfully importing the videos to MC with AMA. Any idea?
