There are many times you want to export iMovie to AVI file with high quality. You can directly export iMovie to AVI using iMovie expert export mode, but the exported AVI files are usually very large and in low quality, and have playback problem on Windows devices like Windows devices like Windows Media Player, Windows PowerPoint Presation, Xbox media centre machine and Windows Movie Maker etc. What's worse, you sometime even cannot export to .avi successfully if the iMovie project is a little larger. In this case, you need a Mac Video Converter to convert iMovie to AVI.
