I bought the Cobra S2 MAX Irons because I have had the set I was using for years. I also wanted to try the graphite shafts as the set I had was steel shafted. When I took these Cobra irons to the driving range, I really could not beleive the difference. My control greatly improved with this set as apposed to my old set.
The Cobra S2 MAX Irons has Baffler-style hybrids with a larger profile and higher MOI, approximately 20% more for both, that will get the ball airborne. This set offers more forgiveness on off-center hits due to the low profile iron's large face, wide sole and low center of gravity. A new innovative sole design reduces the contact area and turf drag, meaning it creates less of a tendency to "dig." This pre-customized set comes with hybrid long irons that create consistent distance-gapping throughout the set. These clubs are strongly lofted so distance should never be an issue though the ball flight is very high and this make work against you if playing into the wind.Golf Digest even goes as far as saying that you're making a mistake if you have any iron longer than a 5I in your bag. If the larger-headed, forgiveness-laden long sticks are more of your cup of tea, the new Cobra S2 MAX Irons may be just what you're looking for.
The next two outings with the men's club that I am a member of, I took first place in my handicap group. I expect I will not be playing with this group for long as I think my handicap will start dropping. Love the Cobra S2 MAX Irons.
