To me, the HXR-NX70 supplements my NEX-VG20 perfectly. A great field camera for guerilla style doco making. It has heaps of features- a bit of a learning curve on manual controls. Super light – it supports great long days of shooting. While, this amazing gadget still makes me frustrated sometimes when I intend to edit HXR-NX70 1080/60p AVCHD in FCP.
The occurred problem is that the Final Cut Pro cannot ingest the full hd 1080/60p AVCHD files natively. I searched the solution to it and find that to transcode HXR-NX70 AVCHD to Apple ProRes for FCP is the best choice.
PS: Though the Log and Transfer as the useful feature of FCP can help you with the AVCHD conversion, you need to keep the original structure of your AVCHD files and sometimes the Log and Transfer would stop working and you can not find out the exact reason and solution.
