Solid! The FT-IZ is easily the most solid head that I had hit. No contest here. The Ping K15 Driver is mega solid. Hit it just about anywhere on the face and you’ll get decent results. Easily the most forgiving head that I have hit.Callaway Diablo Edge Irons Noticeably more stable than the G15.Mates very well with the stock shaft. I would categorize this as a“rip-it-and-grip-it”club. Very solid on good swings or bad. I could not consistently work the ball either way. Now you would think that the weight in the heel would encourage a draw. Not even. Could not draw it well or fade it well.A fade was much easier than a draw. Definitely not a draw biased club.As straight as the FTI, but much longer in distance. The FTI took the side spin off of the ball for sure but it was short. This is not a short club, seemed just as long as my old G15.Titleist AP1 712 IronsIn direct comparison on the driving range, in the same distance range as the Burner. Maybe a little shorter, but no big deal. Definitely straighter. The trajectory is higher than the Burner or G15.I thought it was lower than the FT-IZ even with the real voodoo. Not enough increase in trajectory to go down a degree in loft.
I like the K 15 so well I bought a 2nd one. My 1st one was a 9.5 stiff stock shaft which I later had a premium shaft put in it. Ping G20 IronsA Fujikura F1 65 Motore then I purchased a 12* Oban Revenge 6 reg. flex shaft. I leaning more in favor of the 12* with Oban shaft as the distance is very even with the 12* being more forgiving. The K 15 driver is very easy to hit as I like them both better than the G 15 9* reg. Serrano shaft that I had. Now is a bad time of the year to do a good review as it's getting very cold here in Ohio. My Golfing days are limited but for now I haven't hit any other club more forgiving. As far as distance Im sure there are longer clubs out there but for me it's accuracy that Im after. As I said I like my K 15 driver so well I bought the 3, 5 & 7 wood as these replaced my Adams Super Hybird. Give them a try as you might become a Ping Fan for life.Taylormade Rocketballz RBZ IronsThis is our first driver review of 2011 and as such, it’s the first to use our revised scoring model, so it’s too soon to say how the PING K15 will stack up to other drivers in our 2011 review series. Based on the number we’re seeing, however; we believe it’s long.
