Ping G20 fairway woods have hit the mark for us
The Ping G20 fairway wood is a little deeper front to back and the face is a little taller than the G15 it replaces, which is a good thing as Ping fairways are generally a little on the shallow side. We like oversized fairways as we think they are more forgiving, especially off the tee, and the G20 fairways have hit the mark for us here. The steel clubhead sat very nicely at address with the lighter silver head colour adding to the larger hard appearance which we like in fairway woods. The sound at impact was more solid than the G15 and the feel and trajectory was very good too. The standard Ping TFC169F shaft was very stable and for those with higher swing speeds, the Tour version with its stiffer tip and lower torque is a great alternative. Whether you are on the tee or from the fairway the Ping G20 fairway was forgiving and also easy to shape shots and we think the G20 fairway will be hard to beat in the market.
