How to rip Blu-ray to Galaxy Note format for playback?
Samsung Galaxy Note is a new type of smartphone, borne of insight and innovation. The Android-powered jumbo phone has gained a lot of attention for its 5.3-inch display and a stylus, making it look more like a tablet than a phone. The HD Super AMLED display, 1280*800 pixels, and the Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery make it a wonderful movie player. So besides surfing Internet and playing simple games with Galaxy Note, another popular usage among people is enjoying videos. You can transfer your favourite movies and videos to the Android-based tabletphone to experience and view on a trip or somewhere else. My article here mainly shows you an easy solution to enrich your movie entertainment on the Samsung Galaxy Note by ripiping Blu-ray/DVD movie to galaxy note format. If you are looking for this, you can take it as reference.
As we all know, in order to put a Blu-ray or a DVD movie to Samsung Galaxy Note, we need to get some help from the third-party tool to convert DVD to Galaxy Note compatible format such as mp4. There are many programs out there that allow you to make copies of your Disc movies and let you watch them the way you want to view them. A recommended one here is Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper as the best Blu-ray to Galaxy Note Ripper which is easy to use for editing and conversion and makes great quality copies of my Blu-rays and DVDs. The program can help you handle all the Blu-ray and DVD disc even Blu-ray/DVD iso/ifo iamge files. The audio/video synchronization is very good, the size of the subtitles too.
1.Install and run the top Galaxy Note Blu-ray Converter to your PC, then load your Blu-ray(DVD) files.
2.Select a best video format for Samsung Galaxy Note. Here I recommend you use "H.264 Video (*.mp4)" which is stored in "Common Video" category.
What format is best format setting for Samsung Galaxy Note BD Conversion?
I used to rip Blu-ray and DVD movies to PC and WD TV Live players and learned video codecs and settings well. After several conversions and tests I worked out the best settings for converting Blu-rays to Samsung Galaxy Note:
Video
Codec- H.264
Resolution- 1280x720/1280x800 (HD)
Bitrate- 1500kbps
Framerate- 30fps
Audio
Codec- AAC
Sampling rate- 44.1khz
Bitrate- 160kbps
Channel- stereo
The Galaxy Note specs from its official site shows full screen requires a size (pix) of 1280*800, and the best quality requires a size (pix) of 1920*1080 (1080p). You must set higher video bitrate if choosing 1920*1080 as output size, or the video quality won't be as good as you expected. I choose H.264 .mp4 as the best format for Samsung Galaxy Note conversion because it is the recommended video format for local playback on Galaxy Note by Samsung official site. Although Galaxy Note supports video playback up to 1080p, I choose 1280*720 and 1280*800 for converting Blu-ray to Samsung Galaxy Note- the tablet smarphone screen resolution is 1280*800, and I don't plan to watch the galaxy videos on HDTV via HDMI output - I have WD TV Live Plus for HD movie playback. For watching videos on Galaxy Note, 1500kbps is just all right. I find that bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss.
3.After everything is done, you can start the conversion from Blu-ray/ DVD to Samsung Galaxy Note MP4 video with Pavtube Blu-ray to Galaxy Note Converter
Once the process completes, transfer the Blu-ray movies to Samsung Galaxy Note, and you can watch 1080p Blu-ray movie on Samsung Galaxy Note on your trip or anywhere.
