Forgiveing Titleist 910 D2 Driver
I have played with both the D3 and Titleist 910 D2 Driver drivers and while most of the people I know play the D3, I struggled with it. I hit it well at times but found the D2 to be more forgiving with a slightly higher ballflight. I struggle with too much spin and a high ball flight (I use a 13degree tour 3 wood). I went with an 8.5 with the Aldila Rip stiff shaft. This keeps the ball flight down so now I still have a reasonably high flight that doesn't baloon but have the extra forgiveness of the D2 over the D3. I am a 5 handicap with about a 105 mph swingspeed. Just hit the club somewhere on the face and it will go reasonably straight. With the Rip shaft and its low torque, your misses seem to stay out of trouble more often. Highly recommended. If you swing 110 or faster, then you may want to go with the D3 as it is even lower spin, but it is less forgiving.
