'Boardwalk Empire': New second season trailer released
HBO has just released a stupendous new trailer for the second season of its acclaimed Prohibition drama "Boardwalk Empire." It returns Sept. 25 at 9 p.m.boardwalk empire dvd
The first episode is written by series creator Terence Winter and directed by 'Empire' and 'Sopranos' vet Tim Van Patten and it certainly seems that the booze-fueled action is amped up this season.
Though Nucky's fortunes have soared in the wake of the enactment of Prohibition, he's certainly paying a steep price for wielding ultimate power in Atlantic City. Following the 1920 election, Nucky finds himself the target of an investigation for voter fraud and faces not only jail, but insurrection by some of those he considered his closest allies. Arnold Rothstein, Lucky Luciano, Meyer Lansky and Al Capone wait in the wings, just itching for the chance to snag a bigger piece of Nucky's pie.boardwalk empire box set
For the first episode expect to see Nucky (Steve Buscemi) rocked by an insurrection among his inner circle; Chalky's (Michael Kenneth Williams) life and livelihood threatened by a vicious KKK attack; Margaret (Kelly Macdonald) coping with her son's (Rory and Declan McTigue) disciplinary problems; Angela (Aleksa Palladino) vying with Gillian (Gretchen Mol) for Jimmy's (Michael Pitt) affections at home and Agent Van Alden (Michael Shannon) showing his wife Rose ( boardwalk empire season 1 dvd) around town as an anniversary present.
