Boardwalk Empire Premiere
There's only a day to go before the premiere of boardwalk empire dvd on HBO and the hype and excitement is reaching fever pitch. Online it's the only show anyone is writing about, we're seeing real-time results on Google and Bing and the Twitter & Facebook conversations are now impossible to keep up with. Expect to see that mania peak now and every week until the finale in 3 months time.
Reviews of the show have been almost universally positive and HBO's marketing efforts have been second to none. The huge budget has generally done the trick to get people talking and we've only seen one or two detractors.
From taking over of Bloomingdale's boardwalk empire season 1 dvd to the constant barrage of new promotional trailers, interviews, multimedia and general hype, HBO has made a statement that they have a lot of confidence in the success of their latest show. The positive reviews suggest that this confidence is not without foundation.
We can't wait to see it - be sure to return and share your thoughts and reviews. We'll try to get a review up here as soon as possible for UK fans.
New background music on boardwalk empire box set trailer
Submitted by Falconer on Sun, 05/30/2010 - 12:17HBO has changed the background music to the second trailer. We've not been able to identify the new track which has an altogether more sinister sound to it. The actual video has remained the same as before.
It's not yet on YouTube but you can see (and listen to) the new version on the HBO video site.
