After two weeks of explosive action and bloodletting, boardwalk empire dvd retreated to a more contemplative, conceptual place for this week’s “The Age Of Reason,” and I have to admit that while I admired what this episode had to offer in terms of drawing parallels between characters and examining their respective senses of guilt and self-justification, I did miss some of the swift kicks the show has been delivering of late.boardwalk empire box set
One element that’s consistently set Boardwalk Empire apart from nearly every other crime show and serial drama on television is the seriousness of its treatment of faith and religion. Just because the show is willing to exploit its characters’ beliefs for other purposes—spectacle, for instance—doesn’t mean it’s not there.boardwalk empire season 1 dvd
