performance of Ping rapture V2 irons
ping rapture v2 irons launches shots higher and supplies more head stability (4 % higher MOI). Higher launch enables Schweigert and friends to bolster lofts (by 1.5 degrees) and bolster carry distance. A greater tuning port (in the deeper cavity) should aid feel. TFC939i shafts are lighter in long irons to increase head speed, and heavier to put it briefly irons to improve control. We don't typically make more distance a goal when engineering irons. But we did with Rapture V2. We strengthened lofts, but more importantly, used the density from the tungsten sole weight to position the middle of gravity low and farther back. This increased the club's launch angle and MOI."
