Boardwalk Empire: "Gimcrack and Bunkum" Review
Eli's meltdown continues. He runs to Nucky for forgiveness and finds an unsympathetic ear and an all-out brawl for his troubles. Their fight was epic and wholly satisfying, broken up by Margaret's shotgun intervention.boardwalk empire dvd Eli and Nucky's relationship has always been colored with parallels to Fredo and Michael Corleone's. But unlike Michael, Nucky isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. This type of lash out is something usually reserved toward the climax of a season,boardwalk empire season 1 dvd and we're not even at Season 2's midpoint yet. It will be interesting to see where these characters go from here.
It will also be interesting to see how Harrow's near-suicide attempt effects his role as Jimmy's enforcer. boardwalk empire box set Harrow's deformity already impairs his quality of life, which isn't much of a life to begin with (see his creepy-but-touching scrapbook collection). What little reason to exist Harrow has left, it's leading him to re-evaluate if he wants to amount to nothing more than a killer.
