"Bones" spin-off simply has not found the right actor in the right time. The project was due to go in production later this month and the lead character was about to be introduced in an episode of "Bones" early next year but since the producers are not ready to pick the actor, the introductory episode has been delayed to spring 2011.
EW said the production of the spin
The Golden insanity Girls is aninsanityAmerican sitcom that insanity originally aired on NBC insanity from September insanity 14, 1985, to May 9, 1992. Starring Beatrice Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan insanityand Estelle Getty, the show centers turbo fire on four older women sharing a Miami home. The series was produced by Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions insanityin association with Touchstone Television and distributed by Buena Vista Television.The Golden insanity Girls won several awards,turbo fire including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series twice. All four stars each received an Emmy Award throughout the series' run and each had multiple nominations. The Golden Girls is based on the lives and turbo fire interactions of four older women whom have all been divorced/widowed, and are now roommates. Bea Arthur's (Dorothy) main goal during the series is to find a companion she insanitycan relate to while her mother Estelle Getty (Sophia) adds her comical outlook and frequent "Picture This" stories. Betty White's St. Olaf-ness insanity makes her a little turbo fire corny but lovable. One thing insanitythat changes insanity nearly every episode is whom Rue McClanahan (Blanche) is courting. She's a little too turbo firepromiscuous for her own good.
EW cited creative reason as the delay reason and this was confirmed by "Bones" creator Hart Hanson. "The original idea was to start shooting on November 23, before we went off for Christmas. But to do that we would have to start prepping tomorrow and we have yet to find the right actor. We have a few people in mind, but it's not going to happen in the next two weeks," Hanson explained to TV Addict.
"Actually, the whole idea of it being on November 23 was floated as a production idea, I didn't think it was ever going to happen and then somehow it got out that it was. So the studio is actually saying, 'No, no let's do it later in the season.' Which is great, just perfect, but there's nothing interesting to report."
