How to enjoy Blu-ray movies on HDTV with WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player?

Image

When backing up Blu-ray Discs to NAS service for playback with WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player and watching BD movies on HDTV, you might get involved in quality and subtitle issues. To keep lossless video quality, you can either copy m2ts streams straightly from BD, or make the whole BD into an ISO image file. In that case the Blu-ray PGS subtitles will not be displayed when watching on HDTV, as WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player does not supports playing PGS subtitles. In order to have subtitles displayed correctly, you have to convert and embed the subtitle into video by transcoding. So this time you lose image quality and can never turn the subtitle off. Is there a software that can pass-through video and audio streams and meanwhile convert the Blu-ray PGS subtitles to something that WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player can read? Yeah, there is- the Pavtube ByteCopy software was developed for this. Find below how to copy Blu-ray Disc to lossless MKV file and convert the PGS subtitle to DVDsub format, which is compatible with all the DVD players, HD media players and BD players.

Download Pavtube ByteCopy:
The software is easy of use. You just load movie from source Blu-ray Disc, click the convert button and wait. Download a trial of Pavtube ByteCopy and follow the short guide below to make lossless Blu-ray Disc to MKV backup with selected subtitle and audio streams retained.

Backup Blu-ray movie and convert PGS subtitle for WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player

Step 1. Run Pavtube ByteCopy, and click “Load Disc” button to import movie files from copy-protected Blu-ray Disc/DVD.

Image

Step 2. Click the “Edit Disc” button to select desired subtitles and audio tracks for all chapters. The software keeps all subtitles and audio streams by default, so just uncheck the ones you don’t want.

Image

Step 3. Choose “HD Player” in dropdown list of “Format” box, and click “Settings” button. Here you uncheck the “Encode” box for video and audio stream to pass-through the original BD streams without quality loss, and check the “Encode” box under “All Subtitle Streams” to set “dvdsub” for WD TV Live Plus HD Media Player playback. Press “OK” to confirm.

Image

Step 4. Back to the main interface, and press the “Convert” button to start backing up Blu-ray movie to MKV files with selected audio tracks and subtitle streams.

The main movie with subtitles and audio tracks will be extracted and packaged into MKV container format without transcoding to ensure you get lossless movie clips; and the PGS subtitles will be converted into DVDsub format. In this way you get perfect lossless Blu-ray videos with multiple audio tracks (TrueHD, DTS-MA, AC-3, DTS, etc) and subtitles included, and correct display of Blu-ray subtitles for enjoying Blu-ray movies with WD TV Live HD Media Player.

Keep both English and French audio tracks when ripping Blu-ray Disc to MKV

New released Pavtube ByteCopy lets you rip commercial Blu-ray Discs and DVDs into MKV files with all contents retained without quality loss. A most important feature is to encode video files with more than one audio stream. You can select two ore more audio streams to the output file or encoded the selected audio streams into desired codec (AC-3, DTS, PCM with 6 channels, MP3, MP2 stereo). The software captures audio streams by language. You can set desired language for once and all, as it is able to remember your preference and select the audios of preferred languages when a new Blu-ray Disc is loaded. Pavtube Studio guarantees that the software will always keep pace with the latest BD copy-protections to read all commercial Blu-ray Discs on market. The following guide tells you how to keep English and French audio tracks all the time with Pavtube ByteCopy software.

You may download a trial of Pavtube ByteCopy and follow the short guide below to backup Blu-ray Disc to MKV with English and French audio tracks.

1. Set English and French for audio language output
Run Pavtube ByteCopy, follow “Tools” menu-> “Preference”-> “Audio” tab to set audio language by preference. Under Audio tab you find English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, French, Deutsch, Norsk, Japanese language as well as “Others”. To keep English and French languages, check the box of “English” and “French”. The next time you run Pavtube ByteCopy, the software will select all loaded English and French audio tracks. You set it once and for all.

Image

2. Load Blu-ray Disc/DVD to Pavtube ByteCopy
Re-run the software, and click “Load Disc” button Imageto import movie files from copy-protected DVD/ Blu-ray Disc. The Pavtube ByteCopy is capable of decrypting BDs, you don’t have to install other BD decrypting software.

Image

3. Rip Blu-ray Disc/DVD to MKV with English and French audio tracks
Click the “Convert” button Imageto start ripping Blu-ray Disc/DVD to MKV with English and French audio tracks included. Now you get several audio-streams in one MKV file, which also includes lossless Blu-ray video streams and all subtitles. After conversion you may click “Browse Export Path” to find generated MKV files.

Image

Tip:
In this way Pavtube ByteCopy extracts the main movie with all subtitles and audio tracks from disc and seals the contents into MKV container without transcoding, which means you get lossless quality MKV files. 1080p HD video stream, TrueHD and DTS-MA 7.1 audio tracks and PGS subtitles are retained the way they are burned onto Blu-ray Discs.

Once my nephew threw a temper tantrum because I wouldn't buy him a new game for his Wii. He carried on and on. And finally when he was behaving I asked him if he wanted it- he said no. So, he didn't get it and then threw more of a fit over it. Basically, he doesn't deserve it.Verizon, while leaving out the temper tantrum part said no to Apple. Then they started making commercials about how their Droid phones can do so much more stuff than an iPhone.I'm not a fanboy of AT&T, but at this point, I'd say Verizon doesn't deserve it. They either need it or they want it. It's one or the other. bakcup iPod to mac So you think that At&t's 4G is real? None of the American 4G networks are real! NONE! that includes both iPhone carriers in America plus T Mobile and Sprint! Check your facts! Anyone doing a little research already knows this! So don't be so quick to talk when you're ignorant yourself. Also in my area AT&T serves up EDGE! So check the map of your God! LOL!
