Watching the first promos for the new season of "American Idol," you wouldn't know that the show has undergone extensive changes since it was last on the air.
Instead, the show wants to remind you of its star-making past. In the 30-second spot above and a 60-second ad (at the end of the post) that started airing during FOX's World Series coverage, past "Idol" winners appear in their hometowns, reminding us that the next Idol can come from anywhere. (We also get glimpses of what appear to be a couple of lucky auditioners from this year.)
It's a familiar theme in early promos for the show. For the past several years, the initial ads for the coming "Idol" season have tended to focus on the dreams-come-true aspect of the show. Still, we would have guessed that early ads for this season might have featured new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. all those millions in R & D to design "just right" so that you are a junky plastic screen or case to beat them. yeah. somehow defeats the purpose of the aesthetics of the phone. mpeg4 to mp3 I read it once the last time it updated to see if that nuclear weapons clause was really in there; and yep, it was.
