How to keep multiple audio and subtitle streams when backing up Blu-ray Disc?
Blu-ray ripping tools varies, most do rip Blu-ray contents to MKV container format, yet few keep multiple audio and subtitle streams. Why we love MKV? Not only because there are many players that can play MKV files, but also because the MKV format can store multiple video/audio tracks with all meta-information, allowing us to switch to desired subtitles and audio tracks when playing back from HD media players and media servers.
Here comes up good news with the new release of Pavtube ByteCopy software- a flexible Blu-ray Disc and DVD ripping application- it exports MKV files with multiple audio and subtitle streams at flawless quality! This means you can keep the TrueHD and DTS-MA audios of 7.1 channels and switch to Spanish, French subtitle or subs of whatever languages, as long as the original BD contains the stream. See how Pavtube ByteCopy keeps your desired audios and subtitle when backing up Blu-ray Disc.
Step 1. Click “Load Disc” button
to import movie files from DVD/ Blu-ray Disc.
Step 2. Click the “Edit Disc” button
to select desired subtitles and audio tracks for all Titles. If you skip this step, the software keeps all subtitles and audio streams by default.
Step 3. Click the “Convert” button
to start ripping movie to MKV files. After conversion you may click “Browse Export Path” to find generated MKV file. Note that Pavtube ByteCopy backs up BD/DVD as fast as your drive can read data. A fast BD drive can copy a Blu-ray movie of 25GB in 30-40mins.
Pavtube ByteCopy extracts the main movie with multiple selected subtitles and audio tracks from disc and packages the contents into MKV container without transcoding, which means you get lossless 1080p HD video stream, TrueHD and DTS-MA 7.1 audio tracks and PGS subtitles. Everything’s the same with original Blu-ray Disc other than file format (Commercial BD is saved as multiple m2ts streams while Pavtube ByteCopy generates an mkv file with video streams of main movie and multiple subtitles and audio tracks).
Software availability
You may download a trial of Pavtube ByteCopy to set multi-audios and subtitles for backing up BD movie. But note that the trial works 3 times only. You have to purchase the software ($42) for future use.
More features of the Pavtube ByteCopy software
1. Keeps chapter markers and meta-information
2. Converts HD audio (TrueHD, DTS-MA) to more acceptable AC-3 and DTS 5.1 audio when it necessary.
3. Accelerates transcoding speed by using CUDA when an NVIDIA’s CUDA ready Graphics Card is available.
4. Cracks Blu-ray discs with latest versions of AACS and BD+ protections and bypasses DVD copy-protections like CPRM, CPPM, RC, RCE, APS, UOPs, ARccOS, RipGuard, FluxDVD, CORE X2, etc. So third-party BD decryption software is not necessary.

Keep both English and French audio tracks when ripping Blu-ray Disc to MKV
New released Pavtube ByteCopy lets you rip commercial Blu-ray Discs and DVDs into MKV files with all contents retained without quality loss. A most important feature is to encode video files with more than one audio stream. You can select two ore more audio streams to the output file or encoded the selected audio streams into desired codec (AC-3, DTS, PCM with 6 channels, MP3, MP2 stereo). The software captures audio streams by language. You can set desired language for once and all, as it is able to remember your preference and select the audios of preferred languages when a new Blu-ray Disc is loaded. Pavtube Studio guarantees that the software will always keep pace with the latest BD copy-protections to read all commercial Blu-ray Discs on market. The following guide tells you how to keep English and French audio tracks all the time with Pavtube ByteCopy software.
You may download a trial of Pavtube ByteCopy and follow the short guide below to backup Blu-ray Disc to MKV with English and French audio tracks.
1. Set English and French for audio language output
Run Pavtube ByteCopy, follow “Tools” menu-> “Preference”-> “Audio” tab to set audio language by preference. Under Audio tab you find English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, French, Deutsch, Norsk, Japanese language as well as “Others”. To keep English and French languages, check the box of “English” and “French”. The next time you run Pavtube ByteCopy, the software will select all loaded English and French audio tracks. You set it once and for all.
2. Load Blu-ray Disc/DVD to Pavtube ByteCopy
Re-run the software, and click “Load Disc” button to import movie files from copy-protected DVD/ Blu-ray Disc. The Pavtube ByteCopy is capable of decrypting BDs, you don’t have to install other BD decrypting software.
3. Rip Blu-ray Disc/DVD to MKV with English and French audio tracks
Click the “Convert” button to start ripping Blu-ray Disc/DVD to MKV with English and French audio tracks included. Now you get several audio-streams in one MKV file, which also includes lossless Blu-ray video streams and all subtitles. After conversion you may click “Browse Export Path” to find generated MKV files.
Tip:
In this way Pavtube ByteCopy extracts the main movie with all subtitles and audio tracks from disc and seals the contents into MKV container without transcoding, which means you get lossless quality MKV files. 1080p HD video stream, TrueHD and DTS-MA 7.1 audio tracks and PGS subtitles are retained the way they are burned onto Blu-ray Discs.
