Best solution for playing/watching Blu-ray Disc with HD media players
Watching Blu-ray movie from HDD is becoming popular (and affordable). Although there is Blu-ray Disc Player, many guys are getting used to rip Blu-ray to HDD to and play BD movies from with HD media players. “This would allow me to have my Blu-Ray and DVD library available all the time without having to go find and insert the disks, and protect my discs from scratching”, I way told by a friend, who has put away his BD and DVD collections and been watching movies with Seagate FreeAgent Theater and a 2TB NAS device. I followed his advice and make a digital copy of Avatar BD movie with Pavtube ByteCopy software. The image turned out to be marvelous on my 47’ HDTV. I must say, this is the best solution for watching BD movies with HD players as I get lossless videos as well as all the subtitles and audio tracks I want. Here’s what I did.
Step 1. Hook up an external BD drive with my desktop (as there is not an internal one), and place Avatar Blu-ray Disc into the BD drive.
Step 2. Run Pavtube ByteCopy software and click the “Load BD/DVD” icon to import movie files from Avatar Blu-ray Disc.
Step 3. Select the disc in file list, and click the “Edit Disc” button. In the “Edit Disc” screen, I select English and French subtitles and audio tracks for the movie, and set “lossless” quality in “Format” box.
Step 4. Click the “Convert” button to start ripping the Blu-ray movie to MKV file. After conversion I click “Browse Export Path” and get an MKV file of around 40GB.
It takes around 2 hours to rip the Blu-ray movie (which is about 37GB) to my hard drive. It is said the software backs up BD/DVD as fast as the drive can read data. Maybe next time I’d use a faster BD drive. The MKV file plays great on my desktop (19’) using VLC Media player, so I tried to play the Blu-ray movie with WD TV HD Media Player and watch the Avatar on HDTV (47’), and it looks stunning! Here’s a thumbnail.

If you want to rip commercial Blu-ray Discs and DVDs and with DTS 5.1 audio output, then Pavtube ByteCopy must be an ideal solution for you. Rip Blu-ray to MKV with DTS 5.1 audio and lossless video
1. Run Pavtube ByteCopy, and click “Load Disc” button to import movie files from copy-protected Blu-ray Disc/DVD.
2. Once the movie source is opened you will see its contents as a tree structure. For each Title you can click the plus sign to view detailed information such as video codec, size, audio codec, language, subtitles and so on. You can select which titles you want to save and what tracks to keep in each title. Uncheck the audios and subtitles you don’t like, and the others will be reserved. More than one audio stream can be included in final file.
When a Title is selected, you can click the “Edit Title” button, switch to “Audio” tab to set DTS 5.1 audio output. If the audio stream is DTS 6 channels, just check the stream so that the ByteCopy software will copy the stream without transcoding.
If the audio stream is AC3/TrueHD encoded, you can set output audio codec to DTS, and channels to 6. In this way you rip Blu-ray Disc to MKV with DTS 5.1 audio for all Titles.
Tip: To ensure lossless video quality output, just switch to Video tab, and uncheck the “Encode” box under video stream.
3. Back to the main interface, and click the “Convert” button to ripping Blu-ray to MKV with DTS 5.1 audio and lossless video. Selected audio tracks will be copied/encoded into MKV file with video streams and subtitles. By now you have ripped Blu-ray movie into MKV file with DTS 5.1 audio sealed into a file playable on a typical hard disk media player.

This is a pure rip-off. The part is way too overpriced. It's like with all products Appel. Now, the Appel-trailer it for any price. It could have been twice as expensive and there would still be crazy enough would buy it. I do not. also consider I am of the philosophy at all (censored, advertising, etc. ..) are Soon enough alternatives where you can get more for less money. transfer music from iphone to computer The white iPhone 4 is classy looking and fits great for my white iPad 2 .... After all, White has always been the trademark of Apple Color.
