It is well known that many DVD collectors may encounter the trouble of sharing their DVD movies with friends and families and backing up DVDs on their computer hard drive or to a blank DVD disk. Here I'd like to tell you that how to use mac the ripper and backup DVDs on Mac free and rip DVD to AVI, MP4, MOV, 3GP2 etc with the great tool mac the ripper snow leopard.
Now follow me and keep on reading, I'll guide you to usae mac the ripper snow leopard can rip dvd on mac. It has two parts, and now, it's the Part I.
How to use mac the ripper snow leopard to remove DVD protection and copy DVD on Mac OS.
First,Prepare for the process.
mac the ripper is one of the best free DVD rippers on Mac OS. It is free to download. To install mac the ripper snow leopard, simply mount the .dmg archive by double-clicking it, and copy the mac the ripper application from it to your Applications folder (or wherever you want it), along with this mac the ripper snow leopard Manual if you need it.
Then,backup your dvd on mac.
Run mac the ripper, and insert the source DVD disc. mac the ripper snow leopard can automatically detect the info of the inserted DVD disc. See the figure below:
There are two major setting parts: Disc and Mode.
Settings in the RCE Region
UOPS: allow you to skip or fast-forward through most DVD content, such as warning screens, previews etc.
RCE Region:
If mac the ripper snow leopard displays "DISC RCE: CLEAR" after scanning the DVD, you can leave the option to OFF status.
If mac the ripper displays "DISC RCE: -DETECTED-", you must set the option to the region in which the DVD was purchased. For example, if you have a DVD that was purchased in N. America (Region 1), and mac the ripper snow leopard says that RCE is detected, you must set the 'RCE Region' popup menu to 'RCE 1".
De-Macrovision:mac the ripper allow you to record your DVDs straight to VCR, or connect the DVD player through a VCR without getting a bunch of wavy lines. This is enabled by default.
Setting in the Mode
Select the Full Disc Extraction Mode to reserve all the info in the inserted DVD disc.
Note: If the coped DVD folder only contains one folder: VIDEO_TS, in order to play the final DVD disc, you should create an empty folder and name it AUDIO_TS in the DVD folder.
Have you wanted to rip DVD to iPod, AVI, MKV, MOV, MP3 or other video and audio formats using mac the ripper or google how-tos instructions on ripping DVD on Mac using mac the ripper snow leopard. The truth is that mac the ripper snow leopard can only make a copy of your DVD to computer, it can not rip DVD to other video or audio formats. You can use Wondershare Video Convertor for Mac to convert the .VOB file which output from mac the ripper or just use DVD rips for Mac to rip DVD on Mac.

To use the Mac The Ripper first download and installed it and then insert the DVD and start the Mac ripper application. Then you can see the RCE option if available. If it will display the DISC RCE clear' after scanning the DVD and leave it popup menu off. Once you select the type in insertion and then go back and click on GO button to start the extraction.

Have you ever watched a movie in 3D and then watched the non-3D version? I have. I'm assuming Apple wouldn't use that kind of 3D though (glasses or prism-based screen), so at least we should be safe from that (which is the kind of 3D you're looking for). However, if they try to 3D-ize the UI, that would be horrible (using face tracking). So, neither of us would get what we want. convert quicktime to wmv Bumpers shouldn't be a problem. I've had it in the BOOKback and a DracoDesign bumper this weekend.
