I'm starting to think it has something to do with the firmware. I tether everyday on a JB 4.0.1 (MyWi) and haven't received any messages. I'm thinking something was implemented in a later firmware that allows AT&T to check tethering. ipad 2 transfer I'm all over the place. I use MobileMe for personal, Google Accounts and Exchange for business. Dropbox has become my main repository because it's faster and easier to backup than iDisk, which I now only use as a backup.
