Do you have Canon cameras that capture videos in HD 1280x720 and output .mov videos? Compact cameras like Canon PowerShot SX200 IS capture HD videos in 1208x720 at 30 fps. You may want to edit the .mov files on Window Movie Maker. But Windows Movie Maker does not support importing .mov, .mp4 videos. You can convert .mov to .avi for Windows Movie Maker. However, you shall pay attention to the conversion settings, and make sure the codec work on your PC. Otherwise, you may get .avi files imported to Window Movie Maker with blank screen, or only the audio plays in Windows Media Player.
I would recommend you to use Aunsoft Video Converter as the Canon MOV to AVI converter for you to easily edit HD videos on Windows Movie Maker. Besides the .mov output, you can also export Windows Media file (.wmv) for Windows Movie Maker and Windows Media Player.
Follow the steps below to convert Canon MOV to AVI without blank screen.
