Sony Hanycam HDR-UX1 is the first AVCHD camcorder with 8cm DVD media in 2006. With the 2.1 megapixel ClearVid CMOS, you can record 1920x1080 HD video and SD video in great quality. The good:

This camcorder records in high definition to mini-dvd disks using the AVCHD compression format. It will only playback in AVCHD capable DVD players. If you have Blu-ray player, it shall work too. It is easy to transfer videos to computer for editing, recomposing. Just put it in the DVD drive directly from the camcorder and import directly onto the HDD, and you can edit HD video on computer.
