I was figuring how to convert AVCHD recordings generated by my Canon HF200 to AVI format. I own Adobe Master Collection CS4, but unfortunately the app doesn't seem to support MTS files so well, so I plan to convert all my MTS files to AVI format for further editing in Adobe. The question is where am I supposed to find a really good converter for my Mac that has excellent output AVI quality, at the same time, a MTS joiner enabling to merge/combine/join multiple AVCHD MTS files to one single output. Luckily for me, it didn't take me long to find a really wonderful Mac MTS Converter that exactly meets my requirements! That is MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac by Aunsoft Studio. Now let's explain in details how I successfully converted MTS to AVI in the following section.
Guide
Step 1. Add AVCHD MTS/M2TS files to the program
You can simply drag and drop your AVCHD files to the program or click "Add" button to load your videos. Batch conversion is supported and as I mentioned earlier the program is terrific for large files, so don't worry about your large recordings from your camcorder. Simply drag and drop them to the converter. This is how the program looks like.
Step 2(Optional). Deinterlace MTS/M2TS files
Editing functions are available in Aunsoft MTS Converter by clicking "Editor" button in the menu bar for you to trim, crop, add text/image/video watermarks and deinterlace your AVCHD MTS/M2TS files. You can tick the checkbox of "Apply to all" to apply your present settings to all your AVCHD files.
Step 3. Choose output format for Adobe Premiere
In this step, you are allowed to choose preferred video format for Adobe Premiere. As you can see from the screenshot below, there are multiple video options in "Common Video" catalogue from "Format" drop-down menu. You can choose MP4, MOV, or AVI for output format. For my case, I simply choose AVI format.
Step 4. Join MTS files and Convert
Before you click the big "Convert" button to start AVCHD MTS/M2S to AVI video conversion, here I'd like to present you one big spotlight of Mac Aunsoft MTS Converter-the function of merging/joining/combining multiple MTS/M2TS files to one single output! You can realize the function by simply ticking the checkbox of "Merge into one file". Yes, you are right! I use an app called PicBox to dump my camera roll to Dropbox. It works well, ignores already uploaded pics, and is ad supported so it's free. convert mov to wmv free Well, I can say that I have a MacBook Pro and it held behind a lot, and the screen prints were on it from the keyboard. It froze when I wanted to watch YouTube videos, and I had my iPhone like 3 times to connect the name, before it was detected, every time. I switched to a PC, and I can honestly say that a well-equipped PC will be paid much better than a Mac for the money.
