Chrome App Store will introduce web apps for Chrome browser and OS users, similar to the way Apple offers apps for iPhone and iPad. Google is attempting to sound the death knell for desktop-based computing, with emphasis on the need for new programs to be accessed through internet browsers, based online and available to a range of mobile devices.
